The American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Unit 347, met on Thursday, April 15, 2021. The meeting focused on ‘catch up’, and to determine how to move forward, as best we can. The membership is declining, due to deaths, those who are unable to participate, or other reasons for not attending regularly. As we look at the years of Continuing Service Membership, we congratulate those, who, for so many years, worked diligently to support Unit 347 of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. Despite many changes over time, the mission is STILL to support The American Legion, and to SERVE VETERANS. Business discussed, was the final planning, for the upcoming Memorial Day Breakfast, scheduled for May 31, 2021, 8A.M.-12: Noon, @ The Brownsville Community Center. Second order of business was, when to resume Poppy Distribution in 2021. On Friday, May 28, and Saturday, May 29, 2021, some members will be in the community, wearing Poppies, and asking for donations. Monies collected, helps support organizations like The American Legion Auxiliary, who in turn, use the funds for the welfare of Veterans. LADIES: Treats for the Memorial Day Breakfast are needed. Have your ‘goodies’ delivered to Brownsville Community Center by 8:00 A.M.
Join us on Thursday, May 20, 2021 for our next meeting. 6:30 P.M., Lomira Community Complex.
