NEWSLETTER APR/MAY/JUN2023

LATE NEWSLETTER:We do try to get the Newsletter out every three months but due to some issues this one is late.

MARCH LEGION BIRTHDAY DINNER:There was no interest in having the Legion Birthday dinner this year so it was not held. This is one of the reasons of the late Newsletter because we would have attached the reservation for the dinner in the letter.

DECEASED MEMBERS:It has now happened in a couple of instances that we are unaware of a member passing away. This has happened especially when the member lived out of the area. Our post is responsible for notifying National Headquarters when a member has died.

BLOOD DRIVE:\April 24th, 2023 12-6 PM, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lomira, WI

Members who donate blood are asked to let us know so we can notify the American Legion Dodge County Blood Drive committee. Again, you can email the post or text/call Dick Waechter (920-918-2013).

CONTINUOUS MEMBERSHIP AWARDS:

At our April 20th membership meeting we will be handing out the Continuous Membership Awards for 2023. Pictures will be taken and put on our website. Those unable to attend will have the awards mailed to them.

April 2023 meeting will be accepting nominations for officers to the next terms. May meeting we will have election of new officers.
