Lomira, WI 53048-0306
REMINDER: That our Legion Post 347 address is “PO Box 306”. Thank-you to the Lomira Post office for still placing all mail into the correct PO Box. We tried to get PO Box “347” but it was not available.
POST 347 WEBSITE: I hope everyone has a chance to go online and look at our website. We have been working daily on updating and added new things. Each month I have been adding pictures of our post veterans and past commanders in the HISTORY page of our website. If anyone has ideas of more to do for our website, contact Dick Waechter through the Post email address above, or call (920) 918-2013.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL: We are in the middle of submitting membership renewals “online”. If you haven’t renewed yet, send your renewal money to our Post address (see above). If you lost your renewal notice, send your dues ($35) anyway. I have all the pertinent information and with just a couple of key strokes can submit your renewal. I will then mail your 2019 card to you. At present we are at 78%. Our membership renewals will be ending in just a few months. If you need to check if you renewed already or not, you can call Dick Waechter at 920-918-2013.
Scholarship Raffle Ticket winners:

REMEMBER, our Post 347 Newsletter is printed on our Website. ALSO, if you are getting this newsletter through the mail and have an email address, send us a note via email to <email@example.com> and we can email the newsletter to you. This saves us cost on stamps and envelopes and a lot of time stuffing envelopes. This will also put you on our email list for all the membership meeting minutes. We presently email newsletters and minutes to over 100 members.
SON’S OF AMERICAN LEGION (SAL)
This last December 19th a meeting was held to reorganize our SAL Squadron 347. Until further notice or other developing circumstances, our Post 347 Commander Darryn Laitinen will be the interim Squadron 347 Commander and Dick Waechter will assume the Adjutant/Finance officer of Squadron 347 along with his duties as Post 347 Adjutant/Finance officer. SAL meetings are held along with the regular membership meetings every 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Lomira Community Complex. If you are a member of SAL Squadron 347 of Lomira and haven’t paid your dues ($9.50), you can still send them to PO Box 306, Lomira WI 53048 and we will submit the transmittal to State as soon as we get them. ALSO, if you have a father, grandfather, great-grandfather etc. that is or was an eligible veteran, this is your chance to sign up yourself or any son, grandson, great-grandson, etc. for ($9.50) and continue your legacy of being a member of the legion in your family name. They need not be a member of the legion. You can be a “dual member” of both the legion and the SAL. If you have any questions, call Dick Waechter at 920-918-2013.
